COVID-19 POLICY & GUIDANCE FOR CLIENTS

In order to keep you and others safe, whilst providing you with a pleasurable experience during your appointment, the following policy and guidelines should be observed.

 

Prior to your Appointment

  • If you have any of the recognised symptoms of COVID 19, please call to cancel your booking.  The cancellation fee will be waived if you cancel within 6 hours of your appointment.  
      

Arriving for your Appointment

  • Upon arrival you will be expected to sanitise your hands. If you would prefer to use your own hand sanitiser you will be asked to apply it in front of the therapist.

  • The wearing of a face mask will be required during your appointment. You should therefore bring a face mask with you if you have one. If you do not have a face mask then one can be provided at an additional cost of £2.50.

  • Everyone will have their temperature tested upon entry using a contactless infra-red thermometer. If this shows that you have a temperature then your appointment will need to be postponed for at least 14 days.  

  • In order to comply with the NHS "Track & Trace" you will be asked to provide contact details and certain other information. This will only be used if required for the purposes of "Track & Trace".  

  • Please do not bring partners, friends, children or relatives to the salon with you, you should come to the salon alone as they will not be able to wait in the salon or waiting area during your appointment.

  • You will be asked to handle your own bag/coat and not to hand it to the therapist.

  • Whilst we are trying to ensure sufficient time between clients, should you arrive whilst another client is in the waiting area you will be asked to wait outside as the waiting area will be limited to one client at any one time. To reduce the likelihood of over-lapping with another client please arrive as close to your scheduled appointment time as you can.

  • Social distancing should be observed whilst in or around Penelope's Beauty Room. The therapist will wear PPE including a face visor during your visit.

  • Whilst Penelope's has always ensured the highest levels of hygiene, extra time between appointments and particular attention will be made to ensure that touch points such as door handles, surfaces are sanitised thoroughly after each appointment. 

  • Penelope's will only be accepting card payments (contactless should be used whenever possible).
     

During your Appointment

  • Appropriate PPE will be worn by the therapist during your treatment. 

  • Unfortunately we are not able to offer any beverages other than water in disposable cups. Please feel free to bring your own bottled drink/flask and please remove all items with you when you leave.

  • As always, all tools and equipment will either be sterilised, disinfected or be single use where this is not possible.  

  • Please feel free to ask if you have any questions or concerns at any time. 


Please be understanding and respect the guidelines as we are legally obliged to follow the government guidance and are unable to deviate from the policy above. If you are unable to comply with any of the above guidance when you arrive for your appointment then the therapist will be unable to provide you with your treatment and a cancellation fee will be payable equal to 100% of the booked treatment price.
