Punctuality and Courtesy

Please aim to arrive on time for your appointment as arriving late may interfere with your treatment. All appointments will end at their scheduled time so that the next client will not be delayed, and a full charge will be applied.

All times stated include preparation of room and client: i.e. 5 minutes at the beginning and end of treatment.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to treatment if it is your first appointment at the salon. This time is required in order to complete a personal consultation. All information provided during the consultation is 100% confidential and is used for treatment purposes only.

Cancellations

Please note 24 hours notice is required for all cancellations, otherwise 50% of the total treatment price will be charged, if we are unable to re-sell the reserved treatment time. Cancellations should be made by calling Penelope's on 01798 873890 or emailing info@beautybypenelope.co.uk.

Patch Testing

Patch testing is required for clients who are having eyelash tinting at Penelope's for the first time. It is necessary to do this at least 24 hours before the treatment.

Purchase of Retail Products

Beauty products must be paid for in full at time of purchase or ordering.

Prepaid Courses of Treatments have a validity of 12 months from date of purchase, unless otherwise stated.

Payment Methods

Most credit and debit cards are accepted both online and in the salon. Cash and cheques are accepted in the salon but not for online purchases. All prices include value added tax at the current rate.

Gift Vouchers

Gift Vouchers are non refundable and are valid for 6 months from the purchase date and will not be accepted after the expiry date. Vouchers may be used for beauty treatments and services only. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash, sold or transferred. Your gift voucher number must be quoted at the time of booking and the voucher handed to the therapist at the start of your treatment. You are not under obligation to use the full value of your vouchers during one session. Late cancellation and "failure to show" terms as laid out above also apply to Gift Vouchers. Gift Vouchers cannot be redeemed against beauty products.

Price Alteration
Penelope's reserve the right to alter prices without prior notice.

Smoking
Please note that smoking is not permitted in the treatment room or reception area.

Data Security & GDPR

Penelope's will treat all your Personal Information as confidential and we will fully comply with all applicable laws and regulations including the UK Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 
Credit card or other payment information is NOT held by us and thus we comply with the DCI PSS standards.

Personal details taken from clients during consultation procedures will be kept safe and in the strictest confidence. All card payments are made through PayPal, a third party card payment provider.  Penelope's would, on occasion, like to send you details of special events and promotions, but only after you have given your explicit consent. You can request to opt out of future notifications at any time. Penelope's does not pass on client data to any third parties.

Medical Conditions
Please inform your therapist of any medical condition, including pregnancy, prior to booking as some treatments may not be appropriate for you. As stated above, this will be treated in the strictest confidence.

Newsletter Signup

If it any time you want to stop receiving our newsletters, you can click the opt-out link at the bottom of the email.

By registering or purchasing from Penelope's or BeautybyPenelope.co.uk you are agreeing to receive communications from us. We will not pass on your details to third parties and if you would like to opt out, please click the link at the bottom of the emails.

From time to time we may offer a promotional Newsletter signup voucher which is a one-time use per customer code that is redeemable only to registered customers. During promotional campaigns You will receive a welcome email with the voucher code after you register for our newsletter.

Mobile Phones
In the interest of comfort of all our clients, please refrain from talking on a mobile phone and ensure it is switched off, or on silent, for the full duration of your time at the salon.

Children
Please understand that we can cannot accommodate children under 12 unless supervised by an adult during your treatment.

Personal Items
Please ensure you retrieve all your personal items before leaving the premises as Penelope's cannot be held responsible for lost items.
